Founded in Safi in 1949, SOGENCO has grown around an industrial savoir-faire dedicated to seafood processing at the heart of Morocco's leading Atlantic fishing grounds.

Established in a region focused on fishing, SOGENCO has gradually developed its activities by improving its production methods and strengthening its industrial capacities. 1949
SOGENCO founded in Safi
SOGENCO is founded with one ambition: to build a sustainable industrial activity around seafood processing, in the heart of a region exceptionally rich in marine resources.
1960–1980
First production units
The company consolidates its canning savoir-faire and rolls out its first industrial facilities, laying the foundations of a controlled, continuous production model.


1990
Shift toward export
SOGENCO expands internationally and aligns its standards with the requirements of foreign markets, setting the course for a long-term export strategy.
2000
Industrial capacity scale-up
The company invests in modernizing its production tools and broadens its activity through the valorization of by-products fish meal and fish oil.


2010
Alignment with international standards
SOGENCO secures internationally recognized certifications BRCGS, IFS, FDA strengthening its credibility and unlocking access to the most regulated markets.
